Glad tidings we bring!
This Christmas we’re joining forces with our client Peter James Homes for Mission Christmas! This is an annual event run by the national charity Cash for Kids.
Cash for Kids helps disadvantaged children and young people across the UK – those who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. The Mission Christmas campaign ensures no child wakes up without a gift on Christmas morning.
The charity has organised drop-off points throughout the country, so anyone can easily donate a gift. The rules are that it must be suitable for a child between the ages of 0 to 18, and it must be new and unwrapped. All gifts are distributed to children within the local area, so donors can be happy in the knowledge that they’re helping their local community.
Collectively, Cash for Kids raised over £19.2 million across the UK in 2020, supporting 396, 639 children.
The team at m360 obviously couldn’t wait to get shopping for some lovely children’s gifts – naturally with a creative theme! Filling our baskets with colouring books, stickers, pens, and crayons. This was a cracking nostalgia kick, but since when can you get glow-in-the-dark Play-Doh?!
We’re also raising money for Cash for Kids through Christmas Jumper Day – a big one in both the m360 and Peter James Homes calendar.
Christmas Jumper Day has raised £27 million since its launch in 2012 and 2,487,046 people are set to take part this year. As the trend continues, the traditional fair isle knit remains popular, but we’re seeing some increasingly bizarre and tactile creations. It’s a good job we’re social distancing at m360, as there are several protruding antlers and carrots to avoid!
Well, it’s safe to say we’re officially giddy with Christmas spirit and can’t wait to spread more festive joy through our donations and knitwear. We’re all in need of a jolly good Christmas, and hopefully, this inspires you to get involved too!
