Trends we’re predicting this March

As a creative agency in Nottingham, we’re always keeping an eye on what’s shifting in the marketing landscape. March is shaping up to be a month of agility, authenticity and smarter content. Here’s what trends we’re predicting…

More Human-Centred Design

Highly polished, corporate visuals are giving way to something more characterful. One of the strongest design trends this March is a move towards work that feels crafted rather than manufactured.

We are seeing layered typography, organic shapes, subtle textures and layouts that feel less rigid. Brands are embracing personality and allowing space for individuality within their visual identity. The aim is not to look imperfect for the sake of it, but to create a design that feels relatable and credible.

Considered Short-Form Video

Short-form video continues to dominate, but the design approach is maturing. Rather than relying on heavy edits or constant visual effects, brands are focusing on strong concepts and clear messaging.

We expect to see cleaner caption design, confident typography and a sharper focus on the first few seconds. The most effective content will use design to enhance the story, not overwhelm it. Strong visual hierarchy and purposeful movement will be key.

Consistency as a Competitive Advantage

As more brands experiment with emerging March trends, consistency will become an even stronger differentiator. Cohesive design across websites, social platforms, email and print builds familiarity and trust.

This does not mean resisting change. It means evolving strategically. The brands that succeed will be those that adopt new trends in a way that aligns with their established identity.

Purpose Reflected in Visual Identity

Audiences are increasingly discerning about the brands they engage with. As a result, design is being used to communicate values more clearly.

We anticipate a continued rise in softer colour palettes, natural imagery and more transparent messaging. Documentary-style photography and community-focused storytelling will feel more authentic than highly staged campaigns. In March, credibility will matter more than spectacle.
