Delivering a scalable brand for D&M Builders
When D&M Builders approached us for a following a recommendation from a previous client relationship, they were entering a new phase of growth. As a construction group with multiple sub-brands, they required a modern identity that could support both investor confidence and customer-facing services. With a defined budget and clear expectations, our focus was on creating a scalable brand system that could be rolled out efficiently across the business, starting with a logo refresh.
Creating structure across multiple brands
D&M Builders required more than a simple logo refresh. As a group operating across specialist services, their brand needed to work across multiple divisions while maintaining a consistent identity.
We developed a structured brand hierarchy centred around D&M Property Group, supported by a series of sub-brands including Building Services, Plumbing & Heating, Roofing Services, Brickwork & Masonry, and Plastering. Each division was assigned a dedicated colour to allow clear differentiation across vehicles, signage and digital platforms, while maintaining a cohesive master brand. The identity itself was designed to feel modern, clean and premium, moving away from a traditional trades aesthetic towards a more professional property-development presence.
Refining the identity for real-world use
To support practical application, we designed a minimal architectural-style icon that could function both alongside typography and as a standalone mark. Careful refinement of spacing, alignment and typography ensured consistency across all variations.
We also explored alternative colour tones and font weights to ensure strong legibility across large-scale formats such as vans and signage. Stacked logo formats were created for key divisions, alongside black-and-white versions suitable for accreditations, PPE and printed materials.
Supporting consistency through guidelines
To ensure the brand could be applied consistently across the organisation, we developed a brand guidelines document covering logo usage, typography, colour palette and brand application examples.
The result is a flexible identity system designed to support D&M Builders’ continued growth, delivered within structured feedback stages to maintain momentum and meet agreed deadlines.
