Creating beautiful places for rest and play

Established in 1990, Duncan Ross Garden Design Co. operates across the East Midlands with a reputation for luxury, end-to-end landscape gardening services. From surveying and regulatory knowhow, to a thorough understanding of flora and fauna, the business creates outdoor spaces where homeowners crave to spend their time.

The business approached m360 because its web presence lacked the user experience, finesse and content required to showcase its elegant projects. Our brief was to design and develop a website that would elevate the Duncan Ross brand and resonate with its target audiences.

Giving elegance a platform to shine

In early conversations with the client, we quickly understood how important past projects and testimonials were to potential customers. Such content has the power to reassure and build trust.

While the previous website had the ability to present case studies, their layout and priority within the overall user journey was lacking. When mapping out the journey for this new platform, we prioritised the brand’s services and case studies, with photography afforded significant real estate.

A minimalistic, contemporary design where the brand could firmly plant its roots, was layered over wireframes to deliver a website the client could be proud of, with CGIs and MP4 architectural drawings embedded to support storytelling.

Crafting timeless content

In collaboration with the client, our copywriters created content for the site’s core pages and case studies.

Keeping in mind Duncan Ross’ tone of voice and brand personality, the choice of language needed to be that of elegance, minimalism and aspiration.

Concise descriptive messages welcome visitors onto the website, with lines such as “Creating beautiful places for rest and play” pivotal to a sleek landing experience.

Less was more, with a perfect balance of copy achieved throughout the site. Shorter paragraphs, with photography and CGIs doing their fair share of the talking, avoid overwhelming the audience. 

Since launching the website, our support has continued, with our team providing copywriting support and publishing new projects.
