Thomas Bow’s fresh new look
With 30+ years’ of creative experience, we were excited to be working with the 150+ year old Thomas Bow, well-known as one of the East Midlands’ leading building and civil engineering contractors. Thrilled with the opportunity to redesign a website for a progressive and forward thinking brand, we put our expert development and SEO knowledge to use in creating a website that clearly communicates the services and values of Thomas Bow.
From our decades of experience designing and building a variety of websites, we have acquired a strong understanding of what is needed to create successful and future-proof websites. Being witness to technology and trend developments within the industry has allowed us to deliver reliable outcomes that our clients are proud of.
To ensure a successful redesign, our development team conducted multiple website audits, looking at the back end of the existing site to identify weaknesses that needed addressing. Our creative team also reviewed the site from a UX/UI stand point to better understand the current usability issues, with a mission to make the user journey much smoother. In addition to this, our SEO team assessed the sites keyword rankings and traffic, identifying areas that needed immediate improvements, such as adding pages with targeted copy for areas that had dropped off in the rankings. Following on from this, a thorough review of the existing copy on the site was conducted, allowing our SEO team to identify further areas for improvement.
After reviewing our findings, we began discussions around how the new Thomas Bow site should look and operate. With the all important go-ahead from our client, the m360 team began with a revised site map and fresh UX/UI design in mind. Once approved, our talented studio team designed a prototype of the new site to our client’s specification, using Adobe XD. This part of the process also included important discussions with Thomas Bow and our SEO team regarding what content was essential to improving SEO rankings.
Once approved, the prototype design progressed to the development stage and our client was one step closer to receiving their bespoke site. Before this could happen, it was crucial for our client to review the staged site and share any final amends. At this point, user testing was undertaken to ensure all elements of the site were functioning as they should, and all UX features were working correctly. Once the final stage was approved by the client, it was time to go live!
The website launched earlier this month and Thomas Bow is very pleased with how smart and dynamic it looks. The m360 team looks forward to updating the website as time goes on, and working on new projects with our client. Take a peek at the finished product!
